A Warm Welcome đź’š
Hello, beautiful soul, and welcome to The Green Kaleidoscope. I’m so grateful you’ve found your way here—truly, your presence means the world to me. This is a safe space, a gentle corner of the internet where you can breathe deeply, let your guard down, and know that you belong exactly as you are. Whether you’re here seeking encouragement, connection, or simply a moment of understanding, I want you to feel welcomed with open arms.
Who I Am
Hi, I’m Riah Brea , and I’m just a woman walking her own winding path through life. I’m a mama, a woman living with ADHD, someone who’s learned that healing isn’t a destination but a journey, and a believer who’s discovered that faith and questions can beautifully coexist. My walk with Jesus has been anything but straight—it’s been full of detours, mountaintops, valleys, and everything in between, and I’ve found that’s exactly where grace meets us.
I want to be clear from the start: I’m not a professional counselor, therapist, or life coach. I’m simply a woman who has walked through some hard seasons, celebrated some beautiful victories, and learned that there’s something powerful about sharing our stories. I started writing because I believe deeply that none of us were meant to walk alone, and sometimes hearing “me too” from another woman can be the lifeline we didn’t know we needed.
The Meaning Behind The Green Kaleidoscope
When I was searching for a name for this space, two things kept coming to my heart: green and kaleidoscope.
Green has always been my favorite color, and for good reason. It’s the color of new life pushing through soil in spring, of healing herbs and peaceful forests, of prosperity that goes beyond money—the prosperity of a full heart and a growing spirit. Green represents vitality, growth, and the kind of hope that keeps us moving forward even when we can’t see around the bend.
Kaleidoscope might surprise you—it’s actually the collective noun for a group of butterflies. Isn’t that beautiful? When butterflies come together, they form a kaleidoscope, creating something stunning and ever-changing, just like when we come together in community.
I see each of us as butterflies in our own right. We’ve all experienced our own cocoon seasons—those dark, uncomfortable times when everything feels uncertain and we’re not sure who we’ll become on the other side. But here’s what I’ve learned: transformation is rarely a solo journey. We need each other. We need to witness each other’s metamorphosis and celebrate when those wings finally unfold.
In my faith journey, I’ve come to see these transformation seasons as sacred. They’re where I’ve learned to trust God in the dark, where I’ve discovered that He’s not afraid of my questions, my struggles, or my messy process. He meets us in the cocoon and He celebrates with us when we fly.
What This Space Is About
The Green Kaleidoscope is for women who are navigating the beautiful complexity of life—whether that’s living with ADHD, embracing the wild ride of motherhood, walking a path of faith, healing from past wounds, or any combination of these experiences. Maybe it’s just one of these things resonating with you right now, or maybe it’s all of them. Either way, you belong here.
This space is committed to being honest and real. I’ll share my journey—the struggles that make me want to hide under the covers, the victories that make me want to dance in my kitchen, and everything in between. I believe there’s something healing about naming our experiences and discovering we’re not alone in them.
Community is at the heart of everything we do here. This isn’t just about me sharing my story; it’s about creating a space where we can all feel less alone and more understood. It’s about forming our own kaleidoscope—a beautiful, ever-changing community of women supporting each other through transformation.
Here’s something important: while I share openly about my faith and my walk with Jesus, you don’t have to share the same beliefs to feel welcome here. Your spiritual journey, your questions, your doubts, your different path—all of it is welcome. We’re here to support each other as human beings, and love doesn’t require identical beliefs.
An Invitation to You
I want to invite you to be more than just a reader here—I want to invite you to be part of our kaleidoscope. Comment on posts that speak to you, share your own experiences if you feel comfortable, and know that your voice matters. Your story, your perspective, your questions—they all add to the beautiful, complex pattern we’re creating together.
Please remember that every healing journey looks different. Your timeline isn’t my timeline, and that’s not just okay—it’s exactly as it should be. Some seasons call for rest, others for action. Some call for questions, others for answers. Some call for solitude, others for community. Trust your own process, and know that wherever you are right now is exactly where you need to be.
As we journey together, I’m reminded that like butterflies, we’re all in various stages of transformation. Some of us are still in the cocoon, some are just emerging with wet wings, others are taking their first flights, and still others are soaring with confidence. All of these stages are beautiful, all of them are necessary, and all of them are worthy of celebration.
Welcome to The Green Kaleidoscope, beautiful butterfly. I’m so glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to see how we’ll grow and transform together.
With love and endless gratitude, Riah Brea 🦋
