The Green Kaleidoscope | Life with ADHD | Motherhood | Faith |
A Warm Welcome đź’š
Hello, beautiful soul, and welcome to The Green Kaleidoscope. I’m so grateful you’ve found your way here—truly, your presence means the world to me. This is a soft place to land, a gentle corner of the internet where you can breathe deeply, let your guard down, and know that you don’t have to have everything figured out to belong here.
Whether you’re here seeking encouragement, healing, practical support, or simply a moment of understanding, I hope you feel welcomed with open arms. My prayer is that this space feels peaceful, honest, comforting, and deeply human.
Who I Am
Hi, I’m Riah Brea, and I’m simply a woman learning how to rebuild her life gently.
I’m a mama, a woman navigating life with ADHD and anxiety, someone learning how to heal her nervous system after burnout and years of trauma, and a believer who’s discovering that faith and struggle can coexist beautifully. My walk with Jesus has been anything but perfect—it’s been full of questions, hard seasons, growth, setbacks, grace, and learning how to trust God even when life feels uncertain.
Recently, I made one of the hardest decisions of my life and left my job working in a special education classroom. While I cared deeply for the children, the environment became incredibly overwhelming for my nervous system. The constant stress, over stimulation, and survival mode I was living in began affecting me mentally, emotionally, and physically. My anxiety became overwhelming, my hair started falling out from stress, and I realized I could no longer continue sacrificing my well-being just to keep pushing through.
So, a few days before my birthday, I quit.
Not because I was lazy.
Not because I was giving up.
But because I needed to breathe again.
That decision became the beginning of a completely different journey—one centered around healing, slowing down, rebuilding peace in my home and body, and learning how to create income online in a way that feels sustainable for my mind, my family, and my mental health.
I want to be clear from the start: I’m not a professional counselor, therapist, or life coach. I’m simply a woman walking through real life, sharing what I’m learning along the way. I believe deeply that there’s something powerful about honest stories and vulnerable conversations. Sometimes hearing “me too” from another woman can remind us that we’re not failing—we’re simply human.
The Meaning Behind The Green Kaleidoscope
When I was searching for a name for this space, two things kept coming to my heart: green and kaleidoscope.
Green has always been my favorite color, and for good reason. It reminds me of healing, renewal, growth, and life slowly blooming again after difficult seasons. It’s the color of fresh starts, peaceful forests, nourishing foods, and the kind of prosperity that goes beyond money—the prosperity of a healthy mind, a soft heart, a peaceful home, and a hopeful spirit.
At this stage in my life, green feels especially meaningful because I’m learning how to heal—not just emotionally, but physically and spiritually too. I’m currently on a wellness and weight loss journey, learning healthier habits slowly and sustainably. After years of stress, overwhelm, emotional exhaustion, and living in survival mode, I’m learning how to care for my body with gentleness instead of punishment.
Kaleidoscope might surprise you—it’s actually the collective noun for a group of butterflies. Isn’t that beautiful?
When butterflies come together, they form a kaleidoscope, creating something beautiful, layered, colorful, and constantly shifting—much like our lives and healing journeys.
I see each of us as butterflies in our own way. Many of us are navigating cocoon seasons right now—seasons of uncertainty, transition, healing, rebuilding, and becoming. Those seasons can feel lonely and uncomfortable, especially when life doesn’t look the way we imagined it would.
But transformation rarely happens all at once.
Sometimes it looks like resting.
Sometimes it looks like starting over.
Sometimes it looks like trusting God one day at a time.
Sometimes it looks like rebuilding your health, your routines, your finances, or your sense of self slowly and imperfectly.
And sometimes it simply looks like surviving long enough to eventually bloom again.
What This Space Is About
The Green Kaleidoscope is for women navigating the beautiful complexity of life.
This space is for:
- the overwhelmed ADHD woman trying to create routines that actually work for her brain
- the mother learning how to care for everyone else without completely abandoning herself
- the woman healing from burnout and chronic stress
- the woman trying to trust God through uncertainty
- the woman rebuilding her health gently
- the woman dreaming about creating peaceful income online without hustling herself into exhaustion
- the woman trying to break cycles and build a softer life for her children
Maybe only one of these things resonates with you right now, or maybe all of them do. Either way, you belong here.
Here, I’ll be sharing:
- ADHD and gentle living
- nervous system healing
- motherhood and homemaking
- faith and encouragement
- mental health and healing journeys
- realistic wellness and weight loss
- blogging and building income online
- side hustles and digital products
- honest reflections from this season of rebuilding my life
One of the biggest reasons I’m pursuing online income and side hustles is because of my family.
My husband and I both grew up with single mothers and experienced financial struggle throughout much of our childhoods. We know what scarcity feels like. We know what it’s like to stress over bills, groceries, and simply trying to make ends meet.
Now as parents ourselves, we want something different for our children.
We want to create stability.
We want to build peace instead of constant stress.
We want our children to feel safe and secure.
We want to be able to give generously, travel, breathe easier financially, and create a life that feels healthier and softer than the one we came from.
That dream is part of what fuels this space.
An Invitation to You
I want to invite you to be more than just a reader here—I want you to feel like part of this kaleidoscope.
You don’t have to be perfect here.
You don’t have to have everything figured out.
You don’t have to be fully healed to belong.
Your story matters too.
Comment on posts that resonate with you, share your experiences if you feel comfortable, and know that your voice is valuable here. I truly believe there’s something healing about women supporting one another honestly instead of pretending we’re all okay all the time.
And while I openly share about my faith and my relationship with Jesus, you do not need to share the same beliefs to feel welcomed and loved here. Your questions, your doubts, your story, and your journey are all welcome.
As we walk through life together, I hope this space reminds you of something important:
Healing doesn’t have to happen perfectly to matter.
Growth can be slow.
Rest is productive.
Starting over is brave.
And even in seasons where life feels messy and uncertain, beautiful things can still bloom.
Welcome to The Green Kaleidoscope, beautiful butterfly. 🦋
I’m so grateful you’re here, and I can’t wait to grow, heal, and transform alongside you.
With love and endless gratitude,
Riah Brea đź’š
